 5 January 2009 – Approval of a grant from the Regional Ministry of Presidency
Thanks to the approval of a grant given by the Regional Ministry of Presidency – Government of the Balearic Islands, courses will be on-line courses will be carried out during 2009. These courses are addressed at residents of the Balearic Islands and their descendents who do not live on the islands. An on-line platform has been set-up on the website and the courses will be up-loaded on this platform.
There will be 3 different courses:

Historical and Geo-Political context of the Balearic Islands: Overview of the history, culture, traditions and migrations of the Balearic Islands, as well as the political-administrative organization of the Islands.

Procedures to take when applying for grants, especially those offered by the Balearic Islands’ Institutions.

Setting up Associations: how an association is created and managed, including the work carried out on the net as well as the possibilities they offer to work on different aspects such as the environment, corporate social responsibility, etc.
22 December 2008 – Co-development project
Implementing the co-development project, approved by the Cooperation Agency of the Balearic Islands. This project was submitted by the Manquelepi network. The COINT Foundation is a partner in this project. The project’s name is “Formación integral en recursos para el codesarrollo entre baleares y las comunidades de origen” (Comprehensive Training in the field of resources for co-development between the Balearics and the communities of origin). This project will be implemented during 2009. The main activity of this project is to carry out courses in 3 different fields:

Methodologies on how to participate in Balearic Associations

Self-employment and creation on businesses.
18 November 2008 – SCR Programme
Implementation of a Corporate Social Responsibility Programme by the COINT Foundation, thanks to a grant awarded by the General Directorate of Corporate Social Responsibility – Regional Ministry of Labour and Training – Government of the Balearic Islands.
This programme started to be implemented in January 2009 and will come to an end in the 4th trimester of 2009. |
